Our Heritage

The Punjabi Saudagaran-e-Delhi, also known as Qaum-e-Punjabian or Shamsi Biradari, are a distinguished community of Muslim Khatris with a rich historical legacy dating back to the 17th century. Our ancestors originally hailed from Sargodha in Punjab, later establishing themselves as prominent merchants in Old Delhi during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

The community received its spiritual guidance from Shamsuddin Sabzwari, leading many families to adopt the surname "Shamsi" in his honor. Our heritage represents a unique blend of mercantile expertise and Islamic traditions.
